Artist's Corner

Sometimes I like to create a unique piece that I will share with you in the Artist’s Corner.

Parrot Platter:
I started with a blank white porcelain platter.  I layered the colors on using the china painting technique.  This requires a firing to cone 018 (1323 degrees ) between each layer of color. This platter required 11 firings.  The colors are permanently fired into the porcelain.  It is food safe and can be washed by hand.  I do not recommend using the dishwasher because the detergents will fade the colors over time.

The platter is 12 1/2 inches in diameter.
Hand wash only.  This is a one-of-a-kind item.
$29.95.
